I recently tried to build a custom PC, but there ended up being so many issues that I returned it. Now I'm looking at buying a prebuilt system that can handle gaming at 1080P 144Hz, at max settings. I still have the monitor from the build (an AOC G2590FX), so that's mostly why I want to buy something capable of the above specs. And it also seems like the best price to performance spot right now. I really would like to spend less than $2,000, hopefully less. I currently have found this system that really appeals to me, because the RAM is high speed and that seems to be a rare (but needed) thing for prebuilts to include:

Their website says that LTT has recently called them "powerful, attractive, & affordable". Although I couldn't find that remark anywhere when looking. What do you guys think? I'm open to any ideas, as I'm not the greatest at this. Thanks for the help!

@xdeathshot20 I used to think they were great, and they were actually who I was going to build my dream PC with. But recently, they started using a lot of low quality parts and have done the same thing other custom builders do. They charge more than retail for quality parts (and for any part, just worse on the high end), and most of the time you can buy an even higher grade part for less when doing it yourself. They know what parts people want and use that to their advantage. So I'm displeased with them as well as most prebuilt options. Anyone who knows even a little about PCs knows that most prebuilts, even on sale, are a ripoff. It's sad that companies are basically legal scams these days. But after having so many problems last time, I really don't want to go through the pain of building one again...

I mean, I'd consider other options before I'd ever consider that CUK PC. CyberPowerPC has a very similar build out but uses a 3800X and a 2080 Super instead for an extra $80.

If you'd rather stick with that 3700X and 2070 Super, then here's a significantly cheaper option.

Both of those are within the realm of pricing you would get a custom build at. Personally, though, if I were going for 144Hz, I'd just stick with a 9700k or 9900k. Like this guy.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.

@Suika But I've heard CyberPowerPC (and iBUYPOWER) are pretty much the worst choices in the prebuilt market. I'm really not sure what to choose. It can't be true that every prebuilt is bad quality, but I also don't want to spend a ridiculous markup for something that isn't. What do you think?

It's hard for me to say because I don't know much about the various SIs in that price range. I only recommended CyberPower because they looked like a better value over the initial PC you had posted.

Honestly, what I'd recommend doing would be to make a parts list of the kind of computer you want, see how much it costs (Windows 10 included ofc), and decide what kind of a markup you're willing to go with. That CUK PC is like a $250-300 markup, while the CyberPower PCs are much lower, around $50-100.

@Suika Thanks for the ideas! Right now I'm thinking either a 9700K or 9900K on the Intel side, or a 3700/3800/3900X on the AMD side. I honestly would prefer 32GB of RAM, as I've ran out of 16GB before while multitasking on many occasions. And faster speeds of course with Ryzen (I read 3600MHz is the new sweet spot for Ryzen 3?). I'm not sure how much that matters for Intel CPUs. As for the GPU, I was thinking either the new 2070/2080 Super, or the 5700 XT.

I'm always open to any suggestions. Thanks for all the help from the community!
