Cant seem to find info on that Home Theater system. Maybe you wrote the model number wrong. Any who, does the Home Theater system support ARC? Thats the $65 million dollar question. Im pretty sure both devices have to support it.

Is the HDMI Audio setting turned off? Page 59 of the manual shows the steps to turn that off/on. As for audio going from the TV to the receiver, it doesn't look like this receiver supports HDMI ARC.

 

Looks like the TV has optical out, though, and the receiver has optical in, so you could likely just pass audio that way. I know it's an extra line, but that looks to be your best bet.
