lag My mouse makes my games lag

Every time I try to play a game on my mouse the game lags, I've had this issue for a while now and I don't know what to do, the only thing that works is changing the response time to 125 hz and that isn't really solving the problem. Does anybody know what to do?

Have you tried it with a different mouse to see if the problem persists? Just wondering how you're positive it's your mouse that is causing the issue. If it really is just your mouse it could be faulty or the driver for it is causing issues with the system, in that case the solution would be to buy a new mouse. But you may want to test it to be sure it is actually because of your mouse and not something else.

Almost all games: I tried it with CK2, osu!, ROR2, the only game that works is hitman 2 for some reason

Yes I have tried with another mouse that has a lower refresh rate and it works a little bit better, but the problem is still there. As I said, I think that the problem is the refresh rate since the problem happens when I bump it up. I can now only play "normaly" with 125 hz

Yea Mouse movements are higher in cpu usage while using higher polling rates ! But normaly that shouödnt affect your gameplay ! For me i had kinda same issue that disappered after deinstalling audio drivers and change them with basic drivers . But there will be maybe other drivers thats faulty ... i had this issue wie ai suite sonic suite and river tuner
