It freakin' says "Intel Pentium III" on its front, why did you even bother to ask? Yes Pentium IIIs look like VHS tapes, yes they freakin' do

It is infact an old CPU, a slotted Pentium III.

Think of it as a CPU card, like today's PCIe expansion card. Only difference is that it's a CPU, without it the system doesnt run at all.
