Hello! I am a bit of newbie when it comes to gaming and computers, but after I joined this forum and watched through quite alot of the youtube videos, I have decided to build my first gaming rig. I am also getting a internet speed greater than 10 mbps for the first time, so that's going to be a minor/major revolution. Anyway, I live in Norway and my budget is around 15000 norwegian kroner, which translates to around 1500 dollars. Can I ask you guys for some help with planning what parts to buy?
I have already thought aboud the cpu and gpu, watching tests etc. I want to go for the Ryzen 5 3600 and Nvidia Geforce RTX 2070 super. What I am kinda clueless about is the rest of the build, what kind of tower which is noob-friendly to build in, what kind of PSU to go for, which motherboard and cables and such. RGB is not something that I plan on spending alot of money on, but hey, wouldn't mind a RGB fan or two.
Also, is october/november a good period to build a new rig considering price fluctuation and upcoming hardware?
Thanks for any help!

General advice, it's difficult to give specific advice for Norwegians as your country isn't included in PCPP.

I'd suggest either a B450 or X470 board, pointless getting X570 with a 2070 Super, you'd be paying for features you will never use.

Search for the PSU Tier List on these forums and buy something from tier 1 or 2. You shouldn't need more than 600w really.

Case is super subjective, buy what you like the look of and don't worry about build difficulty. As long as you don't buy anything small form factor you'll be fine.

Most cases come with some form of RGB these days, your board almost certainly will. Just be sure it's all compatible with your boards controling software otherwise you'll end up with 6 different apps controlling it and you won't be able to sync it all.

While i recommend the 660p 2TB for some use cases, the 500GB model should NEVER be considered. Other parts look good thought.

I only see your reply if you @ me.

Wow, didn't expect this many replies after a short tft game :o About the bgudget and me living in Norway, look at your market with the budget of around 1500 dollars. I will look at your suggestions and compare the price myself here in Norway. It is just so that it is kinda easier for me to pick out parts. For the PSU and the motherboard, what features am I looking for given the rest of the build? Do I need to buy extra cables or do they all come with the psu? And what about the cooling, is the stock cooler with the cpu ok?

I am aiming for 1440p when I stumble accross a good monitor :D

I think i want a monitor with 144hz. Do you have the 144hz version, and if so how is this tn panel compared to iOS pr va?

those two at 144hz ips panel. nothing wrong with that.

tn for low input lag

ips for beauty color range

va for great brightness nit

pick your priority at it

Thank you so much for replying! As I posted earlier, I understand it is difficult to give specific advice since I live in Norway, but just general advice is much appreciated. Such as your advice on psu - that I shouldn't need more than 600w. As for the motherboard, are there any features I should look for or not? And as for the cables, do I need to buy any beside what comes with the psu? When I do decide on what to buy, I will post the list of components on this thread, aswell as the final result when that time comes.

Ok, I have explored the market here in Norway and come up with some specs. What do you think? The prices are just rough estimates US dollar

Cabinet:
- Cooler master H500 (110$)
or
- NZXT H500 (80$)

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 (210$)

GPU: Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super (590$)
Motherboard: MSI B450 Tomahawk Max (110$)
M2: Intel 660p 1 TB (110$)
Ram:
- Teamforce Vulcan Red 3200mhz 2x8 (105$)
or
- Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200Mhz 2x8 (90$)
Psu: NZXT E 650W - (110$)

Cabinet: I do like the looks of both the cabinets. Read that the Cooler Master H500 is great for airflow (and those big RBG fans look quite nice). The NZXT is a little bit less, but read that it has somewhat poor airflow. Do I need extra fans?

Ram: I read somewhere that the Vulcans operate best with a ASUS motherboard, and the Corsairs are sometimes troublesome to achieve the 32000Mhz speed. Any thoughts?
PSU: It is not the cheapest from tier A+, but its far from the most expensive. The cheapest is about 10$ less.

PSU: Do I need extra cables?
