Hi all,

As title mentiones, I'm looking to upgrade my CPU cooler.
I've found in a similar price range a 120mm AIO with gen4 pump and 45mm thick radiator / a 120mm AIO with gen5 pump but with 27.5mm thick radiator.
By reading a lot of Asetek reviews about generational improvements it seems biggest leap was indeed gen4 to gen5 and that's a increase in flowrate of about 25-30% depending on the model.

I'm looking on a opinion or even, a preference in this matter.
I understand that fans are important as well, but considering that I'd replace the default fans that come with them and install the Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM I don't believe it's worth mentioning.

Cooling a I7 8700k overclocked to 4.4 GHz - Currently having a EVGA CLC 120MM and temps are ok - Gaming at max 68 and stress test max 85.
But that EVGA CLC will be going on my 1080ti with a G12 bracket.

Thank you for your feedback and opinions.

The thicker rad would probably perform better.

Which coolers are you looking at?

Moved to Liquid and Exotic Cooling.

Hey Wooden,

I`m looking at my EVGA CLC 120mm vs https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ocuk-tech-labs-120mm-kraken-extreme-vga-cooling-upgrade-bundle-standard-black-shroud-bu-083-tl.html

As I need the G12 as well, I can't find another AIO this thick unless considering Corsair H80i V2 but that's really so expensive, and I don't plan to use the fans it comes with.

Thanks
