I just got into am4 CPUs from a am3+ CPUs  with a fx -8350 and I got a ryzen 7 2700 and Asus Strix b450-f gaming mobo. And it would play games like gta 5 at max around 55 and if I allowed it to go over 60 it would crash and if I played for like 10 minutes or less just driving a around. I played fortnite at 120 FPS cap and epic distance, texture, post process and high for anti and the other on lowest posibble and would crash for not playing long. I have had it for 2 days and today I got a ryzen 7 3700x and a Asus tuff x570 pro (WiFi) and it has the same issue in fortnite and it’s pissing me off and it says high power or very high power in task manger as it’s happening. I have not tried gta 5 yet because I had to reinstall windows. I’m waiting for my gtx 1080 to arrive that I bought so I can see if it performs better and I have 15 more days until I can’t return the parts to Best Buy so I’m trying to figure this out. I have Corsair h115i pro aio and a seasonic gold 850w fully modular psu, both the 8 pin and 4 pin on the mobo are plugged in. Case h500, gpu is gtx 1070 aurmor edition

I fixed it a bit hope that helps, I was trying to get out the info and not really trying to correct it and I’m on my phone so that doesn’t help much

It's alright mate we'll forgive you since it looks like english isn't your first language.

Though I'm still not sure what your problem is. Performance doesn't look far off where it should be

Silent build - You know your pc is too loud when the deaf complain. Windows 98 gaming build, smells like beige

Did you enable xmp for your RAM?

Does it work fine after reinstalling windows?

What happens if you set your GPU power target to 50%?

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Also why did you buy a 1080 to upgrade to? was it just really cheap or something? as it's hardly an upgrade overall.
