How to make motionpie stream to a custom app

for a computer science A-Level project, i want to do the same thing as the raspberry pi security camera. but i want since i need it to still have some of my own programming i am going to build an app that supports a live feed. how will i go about projecting motion pie to stream to my app

I'm not a programmer, so I'm not able to give you a technical answer...

 

However, I do know  I can view my motionpi live stream on my phone or PC using a web browser. Can you embed it into an app using the pi's ip address or url+port if you're outside your LAN?
