Hey there folks! I've been following LTT's youtube channel for a while now and I just found out about this forum. I am looking at building a new desktop and I would appreciate some feedback on the build I got together on Pcpartpicker.

1. Budget & Location
2000$(cad) or 1500$(usd)
I am located in Quebec province(Canada)

2. Aim
Web browsing, gaming in 1440p 144hz, also I want the build to be futur proof and upgradable.

3. Monitors
I'd like a 27" or larger 1440p 144hz monitor

4. Peripherals
I already have a nice sound system, mechanical keyboard and good mouse. I have a 1080p monitor at the moment that I am going to upgrade to a 1440p 144hz monitor around black friday/cyber monday

5. Why are you upgrading?
Because I am rocking an older I5 4440 and 1060 6gb that wont let me enjoy 2k gaming. Also it's nice to build a brand spanking new rig by yourself for the first time I guess!

Here is the build I made after viewing many benchmarks/reviews of different parts.

The case, and PSU strike me as problems immediately. Other than that it is fine, though do note you can safely go for a SATA SSD over an NVME one and not really notice the difference. NVME is nice, but you don't need it. Just wanted to make sure you knew that.

That case has really bad airflow characteristics. I take that buy its choice you like RGB, so I would simply recommend a better case with RGB if you really do want it. If not, the Meshify S2 gets my vote. For case reviews to pick the best case for you, check out GamersNexus on Youtube.

The PSU is simply of low quality, so I recommend any A or A+ tier PSU from the list below. Wattage could also go higher, I'd say 750w or above. I have an HXi, and personally do recommend it.

Brands I wholeheartedly reccomend (though do have flawed products): Apple, Razer, Corsair, Asus, Gigabyte, bequiet!, Noctua, Fractal, GSkill (RAM only)

Wall Of Fame (Informative people/People I like): @Glenwing @DrMacintosh @Schnoz @TempestCatto @LogicalDrm @Dan Castellaneta

could drop mobo to b450 to save money for monitor, grab like a corsair rm series psu.  550w or 650w is all u need.  as for case like said above that case isnt the best for airflow.  If you want another recomendation, look at the nzxt  h700i.

Current Rig=  AMD Ryzen 9 5900x, Asus Crosshair Hero VIII, EVGA RTX 3070 FTW3 ultra, 32gb Corsair Vengence Pro RGB 3000hz White, EVGA 750 P2 PSU, 1TB Samsung 980 Pro, 500gb samsung 860 evo, 250GB Samsung 850 evo, 2TB Samsung 970 Evo Plus, 2TB seagate firecuda sshd,  LianLi PC 011 Dynamic XL ROG edition, Corsair h150i elite capelix

Unfortunately, the case is the only part I ordered yet so I guess I'll have to deal with it. I'll add a fan on the back panel for exhaust I guess. I'll look for a better PSU then. Also aren't the x570 mobos better for futur upgrade considering the pcie 4.0?

Probably too much upgradability concern.

If you want a glass case, get one that's actually good. Cooler is way overkill but this case cant hold typical RGB coolers like the Deepcool Gammaxx GT, so might as well go all out. GPU changed, the MSI Evoke is pretty mediocre for the cooler's performance, I'd rather have the Asus Strix 2070 instead if the 2060S isnt up to your taste. PSU changed, the BQ is bad and the price gap between TX550M and TX750M is very close ($20 apart)

Dont forget the case fans, I didnt include them because I dont know whether you will reuse those in your current build.
