is "zzzzzzzz" sound cused by a cpu related problem?

i've noticed a high usage of cpu after the recent windows 10 update

i'm using a workstation HP Z420 V2 with Intel xeon e5-2660 v2

ievery time i open video or a music file (hi-res audio or mp3) a i hear a zzzz sound with a small lag for a 1 second

i've run the Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool  it didn't show any error i've performed a ram test with memtest86 passed without any error

so what is the cause of it?

Do you know if its coming from your headphones or made by hardware purely? There can be multiple causes. Static, sudden fan ramping, coil whine from GPU or PSU (mainly) etc.

Check Task Manager what is using the CPU. Is it Cortana using up CPU resources in the background? A known issue with the latest Windows 10 update.

Where's the noise coming from? Your headset/speakers or from the computer?
If it's coming from the computer it could be the HDD the mp3s are stored on spinning up to read the file. Will explain the noise as well as the delay before the music starts playing.

If it's coming from the headset/speakers then reinstall audio drivers (if applicable). Windows update may have screwed something up with the drivers.
