MSI 5700XT Core clock very low and spiking

I have recently built a new pc and seem to be running into alot of trouble with it.

 

Specs are

 

AMD Ryzen 3600

X570 Steel Legend - newest bios update

16 GB DDR4 @ 3200 mhz

MSI 5700 XT

860 EVO M.2 1 TB

Corsair RM850x

 

Image is while playing Rocket League on Performance settings capped at 250s

It’s not a very demanding game.. maybe due to that low clocks ?

It also happens on Gears 5, lowest settings and I can't maintain a steady 60fps

im pretty sure you are CPU limited in rocket league. you can play rocket league on almost all hardware

Check the temperatures of the GPU.

Even on the lowest possible settings? its never a stable FPS, and core clock spiking is the only thing i seem to find

does the framerate drop when increasing settings?

what does the sensors on hardwareinfo64 report?

what 5700xt do you have?

Navi has two readings, are you reading the highest from the two?

Framerate drops on all settings

Not sure don't have it

All the lastest drivers are installed

Did you DDU the older driver before installing the new ones?

Yes. That is almost certainly why you are having issues. You made a software mess by overlapping drivers.
