WD My Cloud Pro PR4100 VS Synology DiskStation DS918+

Hey guys, I'm an artist and I find myself working with large files a lot and decided I'd like to get a NAS. I already have 4x8tb WD reds, but I'm trying to figure out what NAS would be ideal. The WD PR4100 seems to offer the basics of what I want, but I may decide I want a locally hosted mailbox later on, and I know the Synology can do that. There seems to be so much more I can do with the Synology, but is there a reason to stick with the PR4100? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would trust Western Digital PR4100.  Just my two cents.

All I can say is I love my DS918+ and how user friendly and fully featured it is. And having the option of adding the expansion unit for more drive bays is always a plus.
