Hello,

So its a very basic confusion but my leg is stuck in some unknown shit and i cannot solve it for some dumb reason.

I've decided to upgrade my ram from 8 to 16GB

The original memory in my motherboard Asus Z270F is a HyperX 8gb Part number: hx421c14fb/8

I know it is said that ram should be the same and a higher speed ram might cause problems to the lower speed one.

But i cannot find hx421c14fb/8 anywhere online or retail shops to buy and the only one available is hx421c14fb2/8

The only difference is the number 2 at the end.

Also for the hx421c14fb2/8 the  Refresh to Active/RefreshCommand Time (tRFCmin) is 350ns(min.)

and for the hx421c14fb/8 the Refresh to Active/RefreshCommand Time (tRFCmin) is 260ns(min.)

Will be any problem if i install the hx421c14fb2/8 with the existing hx421c14fb/8 one?

I mostly use this system for light video editing and a bit of gaming.

Thanks in advance.

They can work together, and only a limited amount get a issue.  Get second one and make sure your ram timings suffice and adjust timings properly so both can identify with it.  Also make sure its running at proper DRAM speed.

Kind of a noob here, the spec sheet says they both are 14-14-14 at 1.2V but how do i adjust them? and how do i change the speed as well?

I've attached two photos for reference below of CPUZ memory and SPD tab

The only thing I worry about is getting into compatibility issues and killing one of the ram as i've done it some years ago on an older system.

Yes you want both to have same timing but they need to both be compatible.  So you set it up where you choose the timings it must be the higest setick one.  So if stick 1 is 16 and two 17 CL then you need to put 17 CL and what not.
