How much CPU usage does ASIO use on the lowest setting?

On my FiiO K3 I can select the sample size from 8-2048 right now I have it on 16. If I were to set it to 8 would there be any noticeable CPU usage even compared to the highest sample size?

there shouldn't be unless your still running on a core 2 duo

That is what I was thinking but out of curiosity if you were to make large audio files then would it matter more?

if your making the music or audio and processing them yes it would take more like rendering a video
