Hello, I am having trouble with my laptop where it drains battery fairly quickly and then when it hits about 65% left, it starts to lag very badly and drop frames. Like badly enough that it stops YouTube videos even though they have buffered. This started around 4 months ago. My laptop is a Mech 15 G2 from Eluktronics, I emailed them and they weren't really sure so I suggested maybe it was a battery issue since the battery decreases quickly and maybe it was struggling to supply enough continuous power. They asked for CPU, GPU temps, etc, then agreed to send me a new battery. I put the new battery in and it still does the same thing. Any idea what it could be? It used to run like 3+ hours per charge off my 4600mAh battery but now even with it in power saver mode and turning off stuff in Google Chrome to consume less power, I will be lucky if it lasts 2 hours and as I said once it hits 65% it becomes basically useless. I have also thought I noticed it getting warmer than usual to the touch on the chassis or keyboard but when I check the temps out on a system monitor, they are sitting around 40-45 degrees Celsius. I have had it for a year and it is a great laptop, I use it all day every day for school. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Have you tried to set it to performance mode and checking if the same thing happens?

It seems that it doesn't lag but then the battery sucks up more juice even more so the power drain is still an issue. The only reason I run it in battery saver is to try and get the battery to live a little longer since it has gotten worse.

It is either on battery saver or better battery which are the two lowest modes.

That’s because cores downclock etc for power saving - hence it’ll beslower
