Bitcoin income for HP Omen

Hello dudes. I want to go into bitcoin mining, and I was wondering how much I would earn on my laptop. I have an HP omen with a GTX 1060 and an i7-8750H. I want to know the amount of bitcoin that I would earn on the GPU and CPU.( not in dollars, but bitcoin) I would get 100% profit because I live in company owned housing and neither me or my parents pay for electricity, but the company does. I am on vacation now so I don’t have access to my laptop. I’ll be returning in like 6 days. Thanks ?

Not enough to cover the broken laptop. Bitcoin mining hasn't been profitable on GPU farms, let alone laptops in a long time.

What broken laptop? And I just want an estimate because I also had a 1050ti laptop and I used to get 2 bucks a day back in November of 2017

Mining the laptop will keep the card on power overload and at high temps constantly. Don't you think overloading it 24/7 may have a teeny tiny negative impact?

Close to none today, that system won't be efficient enough to be profitable.

There is no electricity consumption because the electric bills are paid by the company!

That.. Doesn't matter? The system won't be efficient enough to be worth your time, heat and a probably toasted laptop.

You would average 0.00002404 BTC per day, best case scenario with a 1060 6GB

A 1050 Ti would net you 0.00001100 BTC per day instead.

This is assuming you're mining alt coins and converting them to bitcoin. If you mined bitcoin directly you can just zero those numbers out because they are now done on high powered ASIC miners instead.

No, I don't think so. You're ignoring everyone's advice of your own Volition.

Maybe read the posts already posted above and realize it's been answered.

  • 3 months later...

I wouldn't consider bitcoin mining unless you get a semi-new ASIC, and even then, a lot of negative factors to consider (electrical cost, noise, network hashrate increase etc)
