Looking for IEM replacement (read for more detail)

Hello Linus Tech Tips forum,

I have been a big fan of ASUS' provided IEMs that comes with their phones. I have been using their IEMs since the Padfone X Mini back in middle school (I am a Freshman College Student). Their sound signature have been some of my favorite, and since I have don't have a couple hundred dollars burning a hole in my pocket, their price have been preferable too.

Recently I have been repurchasing the ZenEar headsets that came with the ZenFone devices whenever they were available on eBay or Amazon. But as those devices are not in high-production and the small amount of the IEMs left came from left-over QA failed warehouses, or from inside boxes of ZenFones. (Noticeable as they do not arrive with the retail box packaging). The last set which I purchased from here actually ended up being Apple EarPods with the Lightning Connector (I didn't have any devices that supported that connector, so I sold them), it was a sign that my guilty pleasure IEM are quickly starting to run out of the market, since before the same seller did provide the right unit in the past.

Now I am on Samsung's AKM headset provided with their recent S devices, and the over-intense bass is killing me. I desperately lust for an IEM like the ZenEar, similar sound signature (the sound signature can be found in ASUS's Marketing materials for it at the bottom), my only complaint of the ZenEar's is their severely lacking durability, they break surprisingly quickly. 3 to 4 quick shuffles in the pocket when in a rush leads to losing volume in one ear, or rattling inside the IEM. (Was not much of an issue as they are cheap and were easy to acquire). But a better durability is also preferable.

I am willing to spend a little more this time around, (not thousands, but if y'all could provide a range, it would be greatly appreciated), something that will last. Also it needs to be playable from a standard mid-range Android Device DAC (LG H631), not going to be carrying around an external DAC.

I greatly appreciate any help that any of y'all can provide.

Thanks,

shejan0.

Under $100 there's a huge amount of options catering to many tastes. I'm personally using the Mee Audio M2 Pro and I'm verg happy with them, though more options have come out since.

A general description of sound taste and a price range will help to make recommendations

That's an F in the profile pic
