Nvidia and AMD GPUs can barely SLI or Crossfire with themselves and you want to mix the two companies?

You can't even SLI, for example, a 1080 and 1070.

Crossfire, at least back in the day, used to be a bit better but not by much.

they're competing brands, they'd never do something to give their customers a reason to buy a competing product. It's all locked down.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

If it were then it wouldn't be faster.  I'm sure to some degree some enterprising person could get it to work, but I wouldn't expect it to be any sort of a faster solution.

DX12 was demonstrated to show Nvidia and AMD cards in a CF/SLI mix and it was better than CF or SLI alone. As where one architecture fell behind the other had a leg up. So it was truly the best of both worlds. Too bad devs are lazy

Why? It would be SLI/Crossfire between two different GPUs. Other than a youtube video of someone trying to make it work. Its not a whole lot interesting. 

 

 

Also there is the iGPU from intel that can work well with Cuda in Adobe premiere.

PhysX was an old form of multi graphics acceleration where you had a really weak secondary GPU that processed specific parts of an image to better the quality and FPS of the game overall. It was actually somewhat successful in its day, but its old as hell

 

Mantle is just a dead API that was replaced by Vulkan.

This brings back a vague memory. I do remember there use to be a feature available for some games where you could offload certain parts of the rendering to one GPU while running everything else off another. I think it was possible to mix AMD & NVIDIA in that way...haven't heard about it in a long time though. What happened?
