I am thinking about buying a rtx 2070 super. My current gpu (gtx 1070) is still doing it's job, but I'm looking to the future and I'm unsure if it will still cut it. The game I'm looking forward to the most is cyberpunk 2077 and I don't think my current gpu will be able to run it. I have an i5 6600k wich I know is a bottle neck, but I'm thinking about upgrading this too. Does anyone have any thoughts about this? My monitor is 144hz and 1440p just FIY.

You will not get 144fps ,,,,, ok once in a while but straight drop to two digits.  Depends tho what game, CS:GO you wont have this problem.

It depends on what performance you're experting. I've made some rough estimates and the 1070 is probably going to get you a bit more than 70 fps at 1080p max, it depends on how much they optimize it prior to the launch date. However for more than 60 at 1440p then a 2070 Super would be a nice upgrade

Don't bother looking to the future, spend for the now. If you wait to see performance metrics you'll know what to buy, but if you guess now there's a good chance you'll be wrong and have spent money for nothing

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

I'm probably going to pull the trigger than. Have had the 1070 for almost 3 years now and it's probably time to upgrade

Good point, but I'm probably going to upgrade soon anyways and my 1070 have served my well for the last few years.

Don't bother. If you're looking to play Cyberpunk, wait until the game is released and upgrade then.

Upgrading now makes no sense.
