steve from gamers nexus was getting tired of benchmarking the cards because the all had practically identical performance due to the same clocks on every card, and the 5700 is a very limited overclocker, so get whichever is cheaper since the gaming experience won't change

They're much better, yes. If you have the extra scratch to upgrade and are playing at more than 1080p 60fps then it's worth it.

I believe he means other cards like a GTX 1080. The prices on cards like that aren't so bad.

I'm also a little confused if you mean 5700 or 5700XT when you say 5700 series.
