My friend brought a GTX 1050Ti and it didn't work with it's old i7-2600 pre-built PC, searching online I found that the motherboard is locked to using only Legacy BIOS and can't update to support UEFI BIOS so it couldn't work.

So now he has to buy a new motherboard, cpu and ram, I though of a Ryzen 3 3200G or i3 9100F but motherboard stocks are probably still not updated to support the new generations, so would Ryzen 5 1600/2600 be okay the same

(I know of AMD offers a free kit but he doesn't want to much time, after delayed GPU shipment)

Does he? If the i7 2600 still gets the job done, why not just get a used motherboard off eBay that can accommodate it?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad
