Hi all :)

I just noticed that my YouTube history isn't updating with videos I watch on my phone. It does work when watching something from a browser. I was using the previous app version (Android), but updating just now did not help.

Does anyone know what I can do to fix this problem? Thanks in advance. :)

Is watch history on your youtube app? Are you logged into both places with the same account?

Yes and yes.

EDIT: that bottom video was the last one that I (partly) watched that was registered on my phone. I've watched many videos since then (all on my phone), but none are in here. The middle video was embedded somewhere and I clicked on it accidentally while on my pc, and the top one I just tried in browser on my phone to see if it worked at all.

See edit, sorry. This is what I see when I go to "watch history" on my phone. Vandaag = today, maandag = Monday, zondag = Sunday.

Interesting, it doesn't show the date for me like that, it is just a straight list.

And those just don't show up on pc?

Those do show up on pc, but the problem is that I've watched many more videos and they aren't showing up in the history, meaning that I keep getting recommendations for video's that I've already watched.

I've also noticed that recently the app often "forgot" which video I was watching when I did something else for a bit (e.g. have a video halfway played, go eat, come back, video gone).

I have a problem when youtube forgots my history too, it used to be videos i watched a year ago, but recently even 3 month old videos get recommended to me as "new".

Youtube is definitely going downhill, but your problem still seems way too fast for the normal issue.
