First GPU: XFX Radeon RX 580 GTS XXX Edition?

Hi guys,

I want to upgrade my pc with a nice but not too expensive GPU, and a shop in my country has a sale on the "XFX Radeon RX 580 GTS XXX Edition". The reviews on the site are good, but the ones on Amazon aren't.. Some people complaining about loudness, problems with compatibility, and stuff..

The card from XFX on sale costs 170.- and the one from Gigabyte costs almost 200.-... But I don't wanna buy a cheap one, if it's gonna create issues..

Any recommendations or experience with this card from XFX?

Thanks!

It doesn't have the best cooler, but it's fine, better than the gigabyte card anyways if it's like the only RX 580 avalible.

How much more is an RX 590? Or how much less is an RX 570 8GB?

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Hm. Ok.. I only have the stock cooler in my case..

RX 570 8GB: 158.- (XFX); 165.- (Sapphire)

RX 580 8GB: 169.- (XFX); 193.- (AsRock)

RX 590 8GB: 202.- (Powercolor); 220.- (XFX)

I initially wanted to buy an RX 570 but then saw that there was a sale on the rx580 which made it practically the same price.. I was unsure because I only have a 400W 80+ Bronze PSU, but the forum said that it should be fine to go with the rx580. But now i saw the reviews..

Just buy that RX 590, it's a bit faster, and power color has generally good coolers for that generation.

Just don't overclock your CPU/GPU and you'll be fine.

You can always undervolt your GPU as well to drop the power used.

A gaming load isn't going to go over 250W regardless.

Also make sure you have the right power connectors of course, wouldn't really suggest molex to PCI-e adapters unless it's really needed.
