Z97 does not want to post with more than 16GB RAM

I recently picked up some more DDR3 for a Z97 build I've been putting together. I've been using 4 different kits and 2 different systems to test the RAM to see if any sticks were defective, but all are working fine. For some reason though, the Z97 doesn't want to post when I have more than 16GB of RAM installed in the slots. All for slots work when it's 4x4GB. My 2nd PC in testing, a P55, is posting my kits in different combinations fine (up to 32GB). I've reset bios on both motherboards to factory and then updated to latest and still can't get the Z97 to post with more than 16GB.

Perhaps you can do a BIOS flash and that may fix your issue.

Already tried that and it still won't post.
