I have a Xonar ST and I'm wondering if it's worth upgrading..

Hey there I currently have a Xonar ST paired with an M-stage Amp HPA-1(w/OPA627) so it is a bit of an old setup. It's paired with HD650 headphones. I'm content with the setup but now and then I do get annoyed with the Xonar ST, sometimes it doesn't turn on at startup and I have to put my computer to sleep and wake it to get it working. I think it's the card itself as I think it did it with a previous mobo.

Anyways I was just wondering if it's worth making an upgrade to a DAC+AMP and whether I will notice a good difference or not? I'm not that up to date on what's good to go for at the moment.

Nope I wouldn't bother. Save some of that money for a better set of cans first

If getting rid of the annoyance is worth the money to you.
