Thank you all for the replies.

So, is it safe to ignore this? It shouldn't affect my PSU's longevity, correct?

Totally safe.

Hi everyone!

I have a little question regarding my new power supply. Almost two weeks ago I bought a new Corsair TX650M (CP-9020132-EU). I am extremely satisified with my purchase. PSU is very stable and cool, even on hotter days. I have noticed a small thing though. When I move my ear near the exhaust of the PSU I can hear very, very quiet irregular clicks or ticks. There's like single sound in few seconds, sometimes more, sometimes less. It's not annoying in any way - I can barely hear this sound when I am further than 15 cm away from the case. I noticed that they happen more frequently on hotter days. The question however is - is it some kind of a problem or am I just hypersensitive? Is it normal for PSU to make this kind of noise - however quiet it may be?

I even had trouble recording this sound, but somehow I did it. There are two recordings here. The noise is audible on the first file around the 0:08, later at 0:12. On the second recording noises can be heard starting with 0:16. Please ignore the clock ticking in the background:)

Is there anything to worry about?

I have a hard time hearing the sound you're describing over the sound of that analog clock in the background.

A clicking noise could indicate there is something hitting the fans (e.g. a wire not properly out of the way) or something else.. But I am not sure what to comment here.

Nah.  It's an electrical noise.  Probably one part of one of the windings on the choke coil isn't fully laminated.  No biggie.
