I tried to googling "Evga 550 B2 (or B1?)" for Released Date, and it act never exist on Google.  That''s al show me B3, G2, or Corsair CX 550.

 

Do anyone know what year this PSU is?

There is no B2 550W. The B2 was only 750W and 850W. There is also no B1 550W, as the B1 exists in 450W, 500W, 600W and 700W variants. I recommend you check which PSU you actually want info about.

I found it in my Amazon (I totally forgot) ...  It is EVGA 500 B1.

It's been 6 years.  Hmmm, thanks. I  bought it in 2016  Might upgrading to some newish PSU.

If it's for the system in your signature then you may as well just keep it until it dies or you build a new system. Not much point spending money on a new PSU for an old system like that unless you have to.

An EVGA 500B would be fine for that system, no need to replace it.

You'd be better off spending $40 on either a cheap 2nd hand graphics card, more DDR3 RAM, or a SSD.

Especially the RAM.  DDR3 is still very affordable at the moment.  I'm not sure how long that will hold up.
