Is it worth it to get a 2070 Super if I have a G-sync monitor?

I just bought the Acer Predator XB1HU monitor and it has G-sync. I had a Predator Helios 300 with a 1060 but it is broken so I cant use that.

So I was wondering, if I build a completly new system, is it worth it to get a 2070 Super or should I get a 5700 XT and dont bother with G-sync?

If it's g-sync without freesync support, ofc you'd want an Nvidia card.

you would be doing yourself a disservice not to pair that with a Nvidia card, part of the premium of the monitor is in the upcharge for g-sync technology, and its the best adaptive sync right now.  100% spend the extra hundred

El Zoido:  9900k + RTX 4090 / 32 gb 3600mHz RAM / z390 Aorus Master

The Box:  3900x + RTX 3080 /  32 gb 3000mHz RAM / B550 MSI mortar

i have a freesync monitor lg 32gk650f 1440p 144hz. and use a gtx 1070 (soon 2070 super or 2080 non super). And have gsync enabled. it's not listed as compatible but it works without issues. i have seen no screen tearing or other issues. however experience may vary per monitor ofc.

however... you have a gsync monitor. thus it is waayy better to pair it with an nvidia gpu.
