I have a Corsiar H150i PRO, which suggests plugging the 3x radiator fans into shrouds that come off of the pump.  I also have a Phanteks P600S, which has an integrated fan controller, and slots for the radiator fans.

I'm leaning towards following the H150i instructions, but I'm wary as this is my first AIOC and fan controller!  Is there a preferred way, and do I loose any functionality either way?

Cheers

By connecting the fans to the pump, you can control the fan speed through the iCUE software.  You also have the added benefit of creating your own custom fan curves based on the coolant temp as opposed to CPU core temp.  This is important because the coolant temp doesn't change as dramatically like the cores do.   Your fan speeds will be more stable, making for a quieter system depending which preset or how you have the fan curve setup.
