I got a bit of a problem. I have a Galaxy Note 9 512gb, and I need to move large files from my computer to my installed sd card. Upon plugging in my flash drive, I found that my phone could not read NTFS formatted flash drives. Normally I would just reformat the drive and just paste my content back in, but Fat files systems are not designed for multi gigabyte files despite it being a 120gb drive. I'm moving full length films and games to my phone so these are too much for Fat to handle. I don't have access to a type C to A cable(successful in the past), and I'm on the road a lot so stopping to buy one would be pretty difficult and Bluetooth transfer would take way too long. Is it possible to set up my phone to read NTFS devices?

There are way too many negative reports on this option. Are there any other options available or am I stuck with buying a cord whenever I get a chance. You would think that Google would even consider giving Android support for NTFS in the first place right? Imagine the possibilities. You could keep a hhd plugged into your Dex dock whenever you want to go into desktop mode.

Never had an issue, the other similar apps look equally terrible. A lot of issues actually arise from whether or not the phone itself actually supports mounting.

Samsung phones are supposed to already have NTFS support, try another file browser like total commander or x-plore
