Will Changing Optical Drive Sata Port Screw with Anything

Installing a third hdd and rn I have an ssd in sata 1 a hdd in Sata 2 and optical drive in sata 3. If I move the optical drive to sata 4 and plug the new drive into Sata 3 will it mess anything up or is this what you are supposed to do. Thanks

The only thing that disables some sata ports on boards is add an M.2 drive to some slots, as they're shared on the chipset.

In your case it shouldn't matter.
