I'm putting together a cheaper build centered around the Ryzen 5 2600 for office use/browsing/etc...  Since the the 2600 doesn't have on-board graphics I need to get the cheapest card that will run 1 1080p monitor, no gaming or anything that will require any real power.  The GT 1030 seems pricey to me at ~$85, but I've read some of Nvidia's older cards have compatibility issues with Windows 10.

Any suggestions?

If all you're are doing on this PC is office work then you probably don't need the R5 2600 either.

I know the 2600 is overkill for that usage, but I have a $500 budget so I figured I would get the best CPU I could with what I had remaining after choosing all of the other components.

why not get the 2200g or 2400g. The extra cpu power won't help here, and the igpu would be great for your use.

That's not the point though, you've wasted money on a CPU that's way too overkill for your needs. I suggest you sell it and drop down to either an R3 2200G or R5 2400G, these both have iGPU's and are more sensible for your needs.

That's a good point, the 2400g looks pretty good.  Do you think the 3400g would be worth the extra $20?  My employer is actually paying for this so I'm just trying to use the whole budget.  If I don't need to buy a GPU I can always spend that money on a bigger SSD or nicer case I guess =P

Yeah the 3400G makes more sense to you than 2600 + GT 1030
