Seasonic SS-520GM2 520W 80+ Bronze - Fan replacement?

ALEXsince98

Hello Guys!

I have this psu: https://www.amazon.com/Seasonic-M12II-520-SS-520GM2-Capacitor/dp/B0038T0V8Q

The problem is next:  fan is very loud when the psu outputs more than 300W.

Do you know where I could find a new one? Original w/ dynamic bearing, shipping in EU it's a must have.

P.S Warranty period it's over.

Thanks in anticipate!

I don't recommend you ever opening your PSU. Even when uplugged, they carry a charge that can electrocute you.

Best to just straight up replace it.

Buy a new PSU, preferably one that's not old shit, like that is.

Replacing the fan in the PSU is just unsafe

- EXACT fan replacements are required, or the PSU could cook itself.

- The PSU retains charge, even if it is not plugged in. Touching a 500V cap, can be deadly

- If something happens, and your PSU catches fire, and burns your house down, your insurance won't cover it, nor will seasonic's, because you modified a critical safety feature

If it's out of warranty, that means it's more than 5 years old. Time to replace it with something decent. Do note that the M12 II lacks OTP, so it will not shut down if it overheats. Just something to note if you for some ridiculous reason decide to replace the fan. Seasonic does like to cheap out on the protections :3
