Why would you touch the PSU?

Its a lower wattage model that doesnt have a 6 pin to power a stronger GPU. No point in spending 20$ less on a 1050ti if you can get an rx 570 and a decent psu

thanks i

sea a good price lol
but my question is the motherboard dont needs a change?

If you wanted to move to a whole new platform you could, but at that point you might as well just build a whole new PC. For the games you want to play, in 1080p, sandy bridge i series is still pretty decent.

You could by all means though just put a whole new system inside the opitplex's case, but that becomes a much bigger ordeal and at that point you might as well just get a new case anyway and have a whole new PC.

all right thanks, i think gonna star with the graphic card, then ram and some crazy rgb lol
i tried to make it good to posted here,

another question why change the power supply is a difference between 80$ to 20$?

some handle gpu's better than others. some are more efficient than others.

upgrading your pc all depends on how much your budget is, people can give you a better upgrade path if you tell us your budget.

PC:
MSI B450 gaming pro carbon ac              (motherboard)      |    (Gpu)             Powercolor RX 9070XT Red Devil

ryzen 7 5800X3D                                          (cpu)                |    (Monitor)        2560x1440 165hz (phillips 27m1c5500v)
Arctic Liquid Freezer II 240 A-RGB           (cpu cooler)         |     (Psu)             seasonic focus plus gold 850w
Cooler Master MasterBox MB511 RGB    (PCcase)              |    (Memory)       Kingston Fury Beast 32GB (16x2) DDR4 @ 3.600MHz

if you don't mind dabling in the used market you could get a better cpu if it fits with your mobo and gpu for 250. i mean personally i would say.. save up and then upgrade your pc.but that's my personal opinion.

The case is fine but you need more fans.  You need to upgrade the bios from Dell so you can move to ivy bridge. Get an i7 3770. 3770s would be ok. They are fair used right now.  Get 16gb of ddr3 1600mhz ram. If your bios is uefi then get an m.2 pciex1 adapter off ebay. It's faster than sata ssd by a few hundred mbps. If its ahci bios then get a sata solid state drive. Install your OS on that.  Use the disk hard drive as a secondary back up. I've got a gtx 645 in an old phenom 2x4 build. I over clock it with MSI afterburner. Set you monitor hz as high as possible.  Nvidia driver control panel will let you over clock your hz/ refresh rate.... after you do all this and you do not feel the fps is ok... get the best video card you are willing to buy that is pcie gen 3. Which you'll come back here again because something else will be deemed better by then probably. I know gtx 645 OC peaks minecraft fps around 320. Csgo plays fine.

Used market this upgrade will cost:

Pciex1 M.2 mkey adapter is about 6 to $30 depending who you get it from

Ssd $30 to $100 depending on brand and capacity.

I7 3770 $80 to $125. If you dont want to spring for ivy then the i7 2600 sandy might be had for 60 to 100....

Ddr3 1600mhz 16gb ram  $50 to $60

Power supplies worth owning will cost about $50 to whatever you will do. Get a Corsair or a thermaltake. Rosewill is suposed to be ok.

You'll want to upgrade to a 5ghz ac wifi card if your router does that. Which i still run a 2.4ghz n+ with a 2.4 and 5ghz ac wifi router so idk what im talking about it's fine for a game.

You'll want to come up with a later budget for the video card, because you should do this to your computer before you consider buying a new video card. You can't get good frames on time spy with a gtx 645 but i have gotten 1st on a csgo deathmatch  with a gtx 645.

I'm still running a gtx 760. It would be a waste to go to a gtx 960 for myself... people are happy running 1060 1070 still.   Rx 400 and rx 500 series get raving reviews.

That would be a cool dell though.....

Yeah the dell site has the bios update

Dell updates the bios from a desktop program. Ive done it on a few.  Dells always run faster after a bios update. Update before you switch to i7.

Gtx 1050 would be alright. I'd lean more towards a gtx960, or gtx 1060. Other people on this forum would think you should get something like an rx 470, rx480, or rx580 those are fine too.

The pcie adapter is only for m.2 nvme or ahci solid state drives. A standard sata solid state drive would be fine but m.2 drives can move faster.   The adapter can be found on Ebay or Amazon just search for "pcie m.2 adapter" you do not need it for the i7 cpu or gpu card.

Sandy and ivy bridge motherboards you have to remove the board from the case and remove the bracket for the stock cooler off the back of the board. The dell one is ok.  You will not be overclocking with that motherboard so i wouldn't worry too much about the cooler.
