FanControl, my take on a SpeedFan replacement

2) Great repo, wasn't aware of it, just don't know how integrating it would make sense for Fancontrol.

The point is to support backlit coolers in one program.
Currently, the fan speed is controlled by one program and the fan color is controlled by another program.
It is rather difficult to make the dependence of the fan color on the temperature.

When I start up fan control nothing happens.  It opens to the task bar and the system try but nothing is there when I click on them.  I tried looking at list of  superIO chips to see if mine was supported but that was like reading Mandarin to me.  Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

The 3 dots right?  I think i read you asked someone for that earlier.  Nope nothing shows up on my screen, but it is on the task bar.  Is it supposed to be used in conjunction with LibreHardwareMonitor?

Look in the folder where FanControl.exe is.

I'm having trouble with waking from sleep (S3 or S4), system seems to default back to bios settings (Z87, Maximus VI Gene.).

I need to refresh sensors detection for fan control to work again. Is there any known workaround/fix?

So it fails even before the logger is on. Anything in Windows EventViewer?

I searched for anything with "fan" in it, but nothing came up.  I don't really know what I'm doing in there though. *In the windows event viewer*

He's not going to add that stuff to fancontrol. Better use something like hwinfo, afterburner or whatever for monitoring max temps. 😃

hwinfo is horrible, make me many lags in game.

I just don't want any monitoring software, i just want see max temperature just to know if i can optimize more the fan settings.

If you want to monitor while in game I see no reason to use anything else but afterburner/rivatuner. I've used hwinfo while gaming lots of times. If that gives you lag then something is seriously wrong with your system. 🥺

Also, not wanting any monitoring software, just being able to see max temps... how are planning on doing that without any monitoring software? Are you okay?

Fancontrol is drived by libre hardware library, so i just ask under the "temperature source" the maximum hit, but if it's not possible or useless, no problem.

BTW my system is fine, and hwinfo can causing stuttering, i'm not the first...

Hi, your software looks awesome!

To test it, I created a flat curve at 100% and applied it to each components:

CPU_FAN: Kraken x73 Tachometer -> Detected and can control speed.

CPU_OPT: Kraken x73 Fans -> Detected and can control speed.

SYS_FAN1: Antec Prizm RGB 120/2000 -> Detected and can control speed

SYS_FAN4: Antec Prizm RGB 120/2000 -> Detected but can not control speed.

SYS_FAN5: Antec Prizm RGB 120/2000 -> Detected but can not control speed.

SYS_FAN6: Antec Prizm RGB 120/2000-> Detected but can not control speed.

I found it quite strange it works for FAN1 but not others.

Do you have a clue what could be the issue?
I have a Gigabyte Aorus Ultra X570.

Thanks!

@DaftTitan

BIOS settings is my guess. Probably need to set your fans to "manual" in there or something similar.

SYS1 is configured the same as the not working ones:

Speed control: normal

Speed control mode: auto

Edit: In control mode, they are all set to Auto.
This could be changed to PWM or Voltage.

No fans showing on Dell Optiplex 3050.  All sensors are at 0C.  Is this computer / board not supported?

Registered to say thank you! I downloaded this for the exact reason you created it -- to match my case fans to my GPU. It's often the hotspot of my recent build. I wanted to keep fan control as simple as possible, restricting as much of it as I could to the BIOS. Using FanControl, I applied a linear curve to my intake fans to kick in once the GPU passes 40 degrees, so it works great as an unobtrusive additive to BIOS-based fan control.

Compatibility-wise, all is well with my ASUS ROG Z490-G. Even my AIO pump plugged into W_PUMP+ header is detected.

Manufacturer pre-made towers are never supported AFAIK.
