hey guys,

I have a 3 month old build specs:-

cpu:-intel i5 8th gen

gpu:-GTX 1050ti

mobo:-Msi z370

ram:-4gb crucial and 8gb corsair vengeance. Total :- 12gb

I am facing a problem my memory usage is higher than normal and the total memory used is irrelevant to the total memory percentage.

I also attached a pic down for reference.

Thank you. XD

well that tells us nothing... we need to see the full task manager sorted by Memory usage, but you have something eating up 3.5gb of RAM... and im sure there is more there as well.

Yes, but nothing is sticking out there. If you go to performance and click on the Memory side on the left, get us a screenshot of that.. I have a feeling something is not right with your memory config and it may only be recognizing your 4gb stick instead of all 12 as you have installed based on your OP.

Yep, and looks like you are seeing all 12gb, mmmk. Looks like you have a memory leak then in something. I would verify all your software and programs are up to date after rebooting to clear your memory pool out.

I dont need to see your program list. Just make sure any and all of your software is up to date. Reboot your system to clear out the memory usage and monitor it. You have some software that has a memory leak causing what you're seeing.
