A 550 watt PSU would get the job done with quite the headroom, or 450 watts if you don't expect to have to upgrade quite so much in the future, such as going to a Ryzen 6 core. The Corsair CX450M comes to mind.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

You don't need 650W at all, please focus your funds on a quality unit rather than wattage, 550w is already being as future proof as you want it to be.

Thanks guys and would a 650w be good future proof for a 4790k as that's what I'm thinking of getting next

650w is not needed most of the time, even more modern systems.

You'll be fine with a 550w unit. Try looking at a Corsair CX or CXM, the ones with the grey label, not the green one. If you're in Europe or the UK, you can go for a be quiet! System Power 9.

A 4790K?  That seems like an odd choice.  May I ask why that and not a more recent chip?

Assuming you are in the US and ok with rebates, Newegg has the Seasonic M12II 550 for $40 after rebate or the Corsair RM550x for $80 after rebate.  The previous recommendations are all fine choices as well, HOWEVER, i would be inclined to go 550 watt instead of settling for a 450w.  The price difference isn't that large and their is no real benefit with going with a 450w other than saving 5 to 10 dollars.  Especially since you are overclocking.

Um, wattage really isnt the issue here......

A PSU worth avoiding for other options. No idea why its suggested these days.
