PC (presumably mobo) died and I need help

So I was watching youtube on my computer and it randomly shut down. I tried to turn it on but it refused to. I unplugged and switched the psu and it still didn’t work. I tried jumping the psu and the fans spun. I tested it in another motherboard and that motherboard worked. Is there a way I can repair my motherboard, why did it randomly die and what should I do if it can’t?

You didn't test your RAM, your CPU or anything other than your PSU, so jumping to the conclusion that your motherboard died is way premature.

Well, I don’t know why it would post with the cpu, ram and psu the same but the motherboard different. Also I tested the PSU and it worked as I jumped it and it powered fans. Also how am I supposed to test it if the PC won’t boot without a motherboard switch?

Mate, you are being incoherent. Did you or did you not test the CPU, RAM, GPU and everything else in another mobo?

I tested the psu, gpu and the mobo. The gpu did not stop it from booting, and i jumped the psu and it powered the fans fine. However, when I switched the motherboard it booted.

If you tested with another mobo, another CPU and other RAM-sticks, how do you know it's not your RAM that is broken? Or your CPU? Like I said, if you haven't tested all those then you don't actually know if the mobo is broken or something else.

This is a good point but, why would it only be broken with a certain motherboard but work fine on my other motherboard?

I am talking about the CPU, RAM and VGA. You suggested they may be broken, but I don’t understand why they would only be broken with a certain motherboard.

Well, there is nothing that you can do about a broken mobo. If the mobo is broken, you'll need a new one.

Ok. I was just wondering if fixes i could try exist.

this was confusing. if you did try the same ram and cpu on a separate motherboard, then not many easy things you can do with the board other than reset CMOS if you haven't already

Ooh good idea. I do need to try a cmos reset

I just tried CMOS reset, and it did not work.
