Pc shuts down and I'm nervous..

My pc shuts down and i think it's bcs i screwed only the 3 sides of cpu cooler . I removed the cpu cooler ( AMD one that comes with cpu) and the top side of the cpu is full of thermal paste and on the cpu cooler as well. Should I clean thw cpu before I re-put the CPU cooler? Or should i clean the cpu cooler.? Or do nothing and just put it?

 

plz answer asap... It's my first pc build ever and it shuts down after 20-30 seconds..

I’d recommend cleaning both cpu and cpu cooler of thermal paste and reapplying. Use isopropyl alcohol for this with like a coffee filter/micro fibre cloth.

 

also, use all 4 mounting screws for the cpu cooler otherwise it won’t have good contact with the cooler and you’ll run into thermal issues

Get some, you don't have a choice here. Use all four screws. If your missing a screw, use two so the pressure is even.
