Currently upgrading my brothers pc and we have everything ready to go but when we press the power up, the gpu fan begins to spool up and the motherboard lights flash and then nothing

Msi x470 gaming pro motherboard

Ryzen 5 2600x

Ddr4 3000 mhz ram are the upgraded

Probably a stupid question but we took out a fan because we are looking at different placing solutions that could hardly do it ?

Have you tried booting the system outside the case to make sure there is no electrical short?

Something I should've asked earlier - Is you monitor connected to the GPU or the motherboard?

Try placing RAM stick(s) into different slots or leaving only a single one (If you have multiple sticks) and booting like that.
