so for mobo I kept seeing about standoffs firstly idk about any standoffs I can’t see any in any of the boxes.

secondly it says I need to put the screws in the holes but some of the screws just have those sticking out bits in it.

tldr idk what I’m doing how do I put this mobo in.

It appears the case as preinstalled standoffs. Those should only need screws to install the motherboard. The one with the solid pin are known as solid standoffs and don't take any screws. They hold the motherboard in place while you have no screws in.

Your case looks like it has pre-installed standoffs so no need to install any further standoffs for your ATX motherboard.

You need to line up the motherboard with the standoffs, and only when all the standoffs and the motherboard's holes align, screw them in place.

Which one is mobo screw? Do I need washers?

No washers, but the motherboard screws are usually fine thread. You just have to find the screw that threads into the standoff without any force.

Yes, just skip the solid standoffs.

Your case has standoffs pre installed, you can see them on the motherboard tray.

Just make sure there isn't any "extra" standoffs where there isn't a hole on the motherboard for it.

They should come with the case itself in a plastic bag. Look at your case's manual to know which to use.

The big black screws are fan screws. The other silver screws are.... Not too sure, that's not how motherboard screws look like usually... But try screwing one in a standoff(without the motherboard in) and see if it goes in fully. If it doesn't, they aren't it. Like the one above said, they are usually fine threaded.

I am guessing that that last picture is a USB Type C cable, as the Corsair 500D SE has that on the front i/o. You might not have a header on your board for it though.

Sorry. @lee32uk is correct. It is a USB C cable.

So I’m told that Sata 1 won’t work when m.2 is populated which it is,

but pc part picker says 2 Sata ports won’t work. Which one do I use? Which one won’t work?

Look into your motherboards manual to see which Sata ports get deactivated when an m.2 drive is installed.
