New motherboard no video output but other USB Ports work

Go to solution Solved by Epimetheus,

Well, it's obvious why there's no signal from the motherboard. The 3600 doesn't have an integrated gpu

Hallo everyone!

I have ordered the motherboard, GPU in recent days. Everything works so far except that there are no signals from HDMI and Displayport via motherboard to monitor. Unfortunately, I can only connect this via GPU and that works. USB ports and headphone ports works perfectly on the motherboard. Processor, memory RAM, GPU I have everything checked and is also recognized by the PC. How can I solve this?

Second problem: my monitor has up to 144Hz and the DisplayPort cable also supports up to 144Hz. Now I can only switch to 120 Hz, so under AMD Free Sync. And the monitor shows a double image, which is not usable.

My configuration:
Motherboard: B450 Steel Legend (Bios: 2.63B, serial number: 95M0XB084403)
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
GPU: AMD RX 5700
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB 3000Mhz
Hard drive: Crucial MX500 1TB
System: Win 10 64 bit

Thank you for the help!

You're meant to plug the monitor in to the graphics card.

The display outputs on the motherboard are only to be used if you don't have a dedicated video card and you're using a CPU with built in graphics (2200G, 2400G, athlon 200ge, etc). The ryzen 3600 does not have built in graphics processor.

On top of what has been mentioned above (the Ryzen 5 3600 not having an integrated GPU), if you did have an iGPU, that would get turned off either way. When you plug in a separate GPU, the motherboard turns off your iGPU.

If I'm reading this correctly, your PC works when plugged into the GPU, so no worries there I guess.
