So recently I upgraded my mother board from Gigabytes GA-970A-DS3P to the MSI 970 Gaming. My Specs are AMD's FX-8300 OCed to 3.7 GHz, 24 GBs of DDR3 @ 1066 MHz, RX 580 OCed to Core Clock: 1500 MHZ and Memory Clock: 2100 MHz. 750 Watt EVGA Semi-Modular PSU, and EVGA CLC 280. So my issue is with my old motherboard I could play Forza Horizon 4 flawlessly and now the my new motherboard I can start up the game and click continue but after a few minutes of loading the screen goes gray and the game closes.

That's not poor performance, that's a crash. Unfortunately FH4 on PC is one of the buggiest games released in recent memory, Google Forza Horizon 4 Crashing and you'll see for yourself.

Whenever mine starts randomly crashing the only solution I have found that works is to delete and redownload.

Sorry, it's not ideal but I've tried everything on my computer, nothing else works.

Main Rig:-

Ryzen 7 3800X | Asus ROG Strix X570-F Gaming | 16GB Team Group Dark Pro 3600Mhz | Corsair MP600 1TB PCIe Gen 4 | Sapphire 5700 XT Pulse | Corsair H115i Platinum | WD Black 1TB | WD Green 4TB | EVGA SuperNOVA G3 650W | Asus TUF GT501 | Samsung C27HG70 1440p 144hz HDR FreeSync 2 | Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS |

Server:-

Intel NUC running Server 2019 + Synology DSM218+ with 2 x 4TB Toshiba NAS Ready HDDs (RAID0)

The 970 chipset only supports PCIe 2.0 and even if being a gen behind was a factor, it would only cause throttling on very few high end cards at most, not outright crashes

CPU: AMD Sempron 2400+ / MOBO: Abit NF7-S2G / GPU: WinFast A180BT 64MB / RAM: Mushkin DDR333 256MBx2 / HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 120GB
