So I've recently got a job and after 2 weeks I've bought these pc parts. Is this build good? Anything I should get?

My current (bout to be replaced by these new parts) build

this pc costed me around $220

i3 2120

16gb 1333 mhz ddr3 RAM

generic dell motherboard

gt 1030

evga 500w psu

 

Upgraded build which costs $578.92

(All these parts were bought new from Amazon)

Ryzen 5 1600-----$114.95

16gb 3000 mhz ddr4 RAM-----$73.99

Asrock b450 mobo-----$69.99

Rx Vega 56-----$279.99

Evga 500w psu-----$40

I wouldn't run it longer than a week personally. As an alternative, assuming you don't need your PC, you can also return it.

hmmm...my GPU isn't coming till Saturday and I could buy a psu on Thursday, I was planning on upgrading my psu anyway. I wouldn't do any overclocking till I get one with higher wattage.

or maybe I could just wait on installing my rx vega 56 and just use my gt 1030 till I get that psu

Wattage is fine, but the quality of your current PSU is pretty bad.

oh, Like the rating? It is only rated 80+ White

I was recommended this psu by a friend and was told evga is a decent brand to buy from

Brand means nothing, every company has good and bad PSUs.

Rating also doesn't mean much.

 

The quality of that PSU is just bad.
