Samsung S8 sensors not working

Hi guys, i have a problem here. I bought a second hand S8 and realized the sensors like accelerometer, light weren't working, my bad here. I've read some forums and articles and everyone having this issue says it happened after some updates. I tried some apps to calibrate, i tried updating the firmware to Pie, but to no avail. I read that connecting Gear VR thingy fixes it for some time, but not permanently and i don't have it to try it out. Has anyone had this issue? Should i go for motherboard replacement and if yes i'm scared that the problem will appear again. Ty for your time !
