Coolermaster Masterbox MB500, I am unable to control the fans' speed and they run at max all the time

I have fully built my pc and it works just fine except the fact that it is super noisy because for some reason the fans always run at max speed. I thought I'd connect the fans to my motherboard but the fans had a 3 pin connector whereas the motherboard had a 4 pin. This is my first time building a pc so I could have made a very silly mistake, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks to you all in advance.

What motherboard? It needs DC fan control to lower the speed of 3 pin fans. It's usually a feature only on higher end boards.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Then just check the bios settings, or try the program speedfan

it lists DC/PWM and "full" fan control on the website
