Hello, I am currently trying to rebuild my pc on a m-atx motherboard to go into a smaller case. My pc worked fine before I put the parts on the new board but now it will not even post, i am lucky to get a few seconds of fan spin. I have tried using a different power supply, and a different set of RAM Sticks.

I am using an asus Prime B360M-A motherboard, an i7-7700k and a EVGA GTX 1080

In Troubleshooting, I put my CPU, GPU, and Ram back on the old board and it opened BIOS no problem.

Does this mean my new board is dead?

All of this testing has been done out of the case, so the board is not shorting on any standoffs or anything as far as I can tell.

its an 8th gen board, 8th and 9th processors only, ya fucked up.

Holy shit, i feel like an idiot now, thank you for pointing that out!

blame intel for being pricks, 14nm 8th gen didnt need a new chipset.
