Hello, I have a Red Devil Vega64, and I have a Heatkiller waterblock for Vega, got it from a friend.

I know that it dosent fit without some moding, will need to put the acrilic near the 8pin connectors for it to fit, my issue is with all of the rest, looking at it it seems the card uses the reference pcb but it was extended at the top for the red devil cooler.

What you guys think.

As long as it fits and theres nothing exposed that needs cooling, no issue.

The PCB extension is just for the sake of mounting the stock cooler and the recess is the only place you may need to modify.

I think all of the holes lign with the pcb except for the bit with the 8pin connector is. I dont know what standoffs he cuted.

I know you got the Heatkiller WB for free and all, but what is wrong witht the stock fan and heatsink of the Red Devil? I have one and it's doing a nice job, play Metro Exodus , 1/2 hour to 2 hour runs) and temp's hitting about 62C max according to GPUZ. IMO, the Red Devil stock cooler is one of the best around....for the extremely hot VEGA64 GPU's. IF the WB fits, by that I mean it covers the GPU, mem and VRM very nicely, then yeah, you'd net lower temps so why not? I'd suggest that should you mod the Red Devil with that WB, and have it running, have MSI Afterburner running and monitor the temps to see if there's any unusually high spikes in temps.

My Red Devil has the unmolded die, and the cooler cant keep it cool, 1500mhz +- 1030mv 1090mhz hmb and -7 on power, yes 60c but the fans will ramp to 80% and its not fun to play with that cooler at almost 3500rpm. i have repasted did lower the temp a bit 5c but its not that good.

thats my card. and the reason for the waterblock.

I have a fractal R6 full with fans its well ventilated.
