Hey All,

Im currently looking around for a decent laptop that I can use for work (IT administrator) and for gaming (some AAA's like metro or graphicly intense games, also plenty of competitive titles like LoL, Dota 2, overwatch, etc.). Criteria would be:

  • Decently portable, i know they come in bulkier sizes so im not expecting the lightest, but i assume I can do better than the size of the area 51m
  • I am a sucker for eye candy. I love the particle effects. I want the gamimg experience to look as good as I can get for the form factor. Does not need to be 4k though.
  • Price range within the $2500 - $3500 usd.
  • Would like one with a decent keyboard if possible
  • 144hz refresh rate? Im not looking for 4k so a higher refresh rate would be great.
  • Available on newegg, as this is where I opened my LoC.

Any ideas? Ive look at a few options, and really like the asthetic and hardware of the MSI GS75 stealth-203. My concern with this machine though is the lower tdp version of the rtx 2070(80) that could take away performance. I appreciate any answers, and those that just take the time to read.

Most placed i go will have an available outlet that i can plug into, but I would like some decent power. I am wanting to use this opportunity to build my credit further, so I would prefer newegg only.

you want to build credit? like help increase your credit score? just pay off credit cards and use them like debit cards as much as possible.

if you dont have a CC yet, get one and build it that way.

if you dont have a CC and your parents credit score is good, ask them to make you an authorize user on their CC. it automatically boosts your score (only if their score is also good).
