hi i have Adata's Premier Series DDR4 2400 288-Pin Unbuffered-DIMM Memory.

i tried overclocking it and i did as simple as changing the default to 30x and now its running on 3000mhz. is it really working at 3khz because i doubt it was this easy to achieve without changing timmings(which i dont know nothing about).

please shed some light!

heres a picture attached:-

You could always do a before and after benchmark to test whether it's actually doing that or just lying.  It would also give you a sense of how much the performance has improved.  You could try CPU-Z for a more reliable insight, task manager is not great at CPU speeds and I wouldn't expect it to do RAM any differently.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

It's not that easy.

It may appear to run just fine while spitting a lot of errors, corrupting your data over time.

You always have to run memtest86 to ensure the RAM does not spit any errors.

At least 4 full passes is recommended.

cpu z shows the same. the ram running at 3000hz.

done memtest. didnt encounter any error. running the ram on these speeds for 1 months and havent encountered any bsod, bugs or anything.

i acctually gained some score on cinebench. i dont know if it was due to ram :3

and also i never noticed any other things.

should i keep at 3000hz? considering i got these ddr4 ram for really cheap.

i didnt had any money to buy any specific 3000hz or more ram back when the prices were sky rocketing!
